I am guilty of thinking that hunger is a problem that is far away from the U.S., but the truth is quite the opposite. Learning that 1 out of every 6 people in America is struggling to find food snapped my perspective back into reality. Of the people and families that Feeding America is able to help, only 10% are homeless.
Pinterest is most frequented by women and the most commonly pinned topics are about food and recipes. Connecting this social media site to helping fight hunger was a great concept and one people were happy to participate in!
