Pepsi Launches Limited Edition Commemorative Super Bowl LI Can

This year the Pepsico Design & Innovation Center launched a limited-edition Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show commemorative can. The can was distributed at a variety of events at this year’s Super Bowl in Houston, TX.

According to Mauro Porcini, SVP & Chief Design Officer at PepsiCo, “The design features aspects of Texas culture, music and football, that commemorate the Pepsi 0 Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show in an unexpected and exciting way.”

The Pepsico Design & Innovation Center partnered with retail agency Theory House and illustrator Matt Stevens to bring the concept to life. What started as a single commemorative can grew into a Houston-wide activation, with designs on billboards, tour buses and recycling bins.

The can features a matte black finish with hand-tooled line art to celebrate the event and deliver a premium commemorative offering.
